花の恵展(Grace of Flowers)

おばあちゃんと孫、二人の花たち。

智恵子没後19年の月日が流れ、かろうじて残っている智恵子の花の絵と、今を生きる英恵の花の絵による、2部構成の展覧会です。
この夏、リニューアルしたばかりの福岡市美術館(市民ギャラリーA)にて、長く市民芸術家として絵画に情熱を傾け、人知れず学び続けていた智恵子へのオマージュを捧げると共に、ご来場の皆様に、世代を越えて、文化芸術を通じた二人の感性の連なりを感じていただければ幸いです。

This exhibition composes of two parts: the picture of flowers painted by Chieko which are displayed publicly for the first time after her death nineteen years ago, and those by Hanae.
We are thankful for being given an opportunity to hold this exhibition in Fukuoka Art Museum, which has just reopened after renovation.
The exhibition is not just homage to Chieko but also the presentation of similar sensitivity to art successes over generations. It is our hope that you will enjoy the unintentional collaboration of two artists living in different times.
